I graduated from Verdugo in 1975. I
got married in '76 and divorced in '77. I moved to Atascadero, California in the
summer of '77. I met my second husband in that same summer and we got married in
Jan. of '78.
In spring of '78, we moved back to Tujunga
and I had my son at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Nov. of '78. In June of '79, I moved
back to Atascadero alone and divorced in July of '80.
I lived with my parents and raised
my son, working full time jobs until July of '83, when I married for the 3rd time only to
get pregnant and lose my babies (triplets) in Dec. of '83.
When I miscarried, I found out I
had cancer. In June of '84, I had to have a hysterectomy. I met my soul mate
in Oct. of '84. We moved in together in January, and were married on July 6th of
'85. He had a daughter who was 4, and my son was 6. We celebrate 2
anniversaries every year. The day we got together and the day we got married.
We moved to Las Vegas in the fall
of '87 and then moved to Boulder City in the fall of '89. We not only had our 2
kids, but in fall of '93, we took a foster son. He had a very dysfunctional family life
and we gave him a stable family life. He tells everyone that I am his mom and he has
been 100% ours ever since. Both of my boys are in the Army. Chris is the
oldest and he is stationed in Colorado. Dustin is my other son and he is stationed
in Fairbanks, Alaska with his wife and 2 kids. Michelle is our daughter and she
lives in Fresno, CA, with her husband and 9 month old daughter. I have 3 grandkids
and miss them very much.
I have had cancer once again since
'84 and lost my father to cancer in '92. We still live in Boulder City and love
every minute of it. My house overlooks Lake Mead and it is beautiful. We live
across from a Federal Park and the long horned sheep graze on the grass everyday.
I often miss my friends and the
people I went to school with, but for the most part, I am very happy with my life.
