I will be adding some pictures as I come across them to this page.  Below are a few that I came across.

Here I am in March of 1971 working the MARS System in the U. S. Marine Corps while being stationed in Okinawa.  The MARS Radio System allowed voice messages to be carried from U. S. Servicemen stationed in the Far East to their homes thanks to the many vounteer HAM Radio Operators in the United States and other friendly countries.  Telephone service was not as accessible and advanced as it is today plus the cost factor of phone calls from the far out places around the globe was very expensive if at all available.
